For any students interested in Agricultural Marketing activities including building relationships with agribusiness professionals and competing nationally on a food marketing plan.
The SUNY Cobleskill Agricultural Engineering Club is made up of college students who
share an interest in agriculture and the machinery and mechanics used within the field.
We hold weekly meetings, club events, club trips, a yearly banquet, tool raffle, and
participate in other campus events. Participation is open to all SUNY Cobleskill students
of any and all majors.
We are a Student Sub-Unit of the American Fisheries Society (AFS). Our goals are to provide members with the opportunity to exchange experiences students have had by completing their internships/jobs and provide professionals the opportunity to share with us what they are doing in fisheries and aquaculture occupations. The AFS Student Sub-Unit welcomes anyone who has a passion for fish.
The club offers students the opportunity to work with the college owned livestock
in preparing the animals for various types of performances. The club sponsors many
activities and events throughout the year. Some are: The Northeast Horseman's Clinic,
Livestock Fitting, The Livestock Jamboree, Canine Police Training, and The Annual
Livestock Project. Each year the club also is very proud to own registered Hampshire
sheep. This club is for anyone who has an interest in animals.
The Business Careers Club is focused on providing education enhancing skills and opportunities for students to prepare them for the work place. The actual activities are set by the members each year and have included guest speakers, workshops, etiquette dinners, employer panel discussions, COBY Madness, etc. Participation is open to all students.
The SUNY Cobleskill Canine Club is all about, you guessed it, dogs! We are a collective
of dog lovers who want to express our love and appreciation for our four-legged friends.
From dog-themed fundraisers to volunteering at shelters, dog-related field trips,
and educational presentations, we celebrate dogs in any way we can. We are open to
all majors and have a dog at every meeting!
This club educates members about both working dogs and pet dogs via presenters as well as field trips.
The club aims to effectively contribute to the development of skilled and knowledgeable professionals in the field while also raising awareness about the critical importance of cybersecurity in today's digital landscape. Participation is open to all students.
We want to bring back the culinary arts club to Suny Cobleskill. When it comes down to what the club will look like we want to do a mixture of a couple
of things. Such as giving back to the community, going on culinary trips and competitions,
providing an environment for those who might not be super kitchen savvy, a space to
learn how to ball on a budget when it comes to food as a college student, and things
of that nature.
Trips, club sponsored contests, and a consignment sale of registered cattle are just
some of the activities. It is a welcomed attraction to animal science, dairy, and
other majors continuing their education here at Cobleskill. This club is open to any
person, from any major interested in cattle.
The SUNY Cobleskill Student Chapter of Ducks Unlimited promotes the conservation of
waterfowl and their habitats through education, research and outreach. It recognizes
that ducks, geese, and swans are a vital part of the human environment, ecologically,
economically and recreationally. Participation is open to all students.
The Early Childhood Association is open to any student interested in the education and welfare of young children. The purpose of the association is to raise money for community programs serving children to provide special programs for community children and to provide information to the public regarding the needs and rights of children.
Our mission is to act as a real world design agency by offering creative design solutions
to our campus and surrounding communities. We engage in transactions with clients
and clubs to gain experience and to enhance our portfolios and professional body of
work. By operating as an agency, we establish leadership roles for our members and
create opportunities for meaningful collaboration and personal growth. All students
are welcome to join our team to hone their communication and business skills for a
successful start in their chosen field.

Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences or MANRRS is a national
organization that focuses on uplifting student voices and provide them opportunities
to develop their leadership and connect to industry professionals. The SUNY Cobleskill
MANRRS Chapters' mission is to promote academic and professional advancement for underrepresented
students in agriculture and related fields. We want to uplift the voices of minorities
but also, the minority that is the agriculture industry amongst the vast varieties
of other industries.
The Plant Science and Sustainability Club fosters an understanding of sustainability
in the green industry and helps develop horticultural and agricultural skills that
embrace a strong ecological relationship. The club will be a place to encourage diversity
of backgrounds and perspectives futures among peers. Participation is open to all
students.
The Pre-Veterinary Club promotes the interest and education in the animal science field with a concentration on a career in veterinary medicine, encourages academic excellence, and supports a sense of harmony among its members. The club also aids in the care of animals at surrounding animal maintenance facilities and work to become familiar with the veterinary office atmosphere. Participation is open to all students.
Therapeutic Horsemanship Club members are college students from all over the United States who share a love for equines, want to explore the human-equine relationship and learn how animals can therapeutically impact our lives. We are open to all majors! Come and join us!
MISSION: To raise awareness of, and take action on, environmental conservation issues.
ACTIVITIES: We create opportunities for students to interact with the environment
and wildlife surrounding Cobleskill. We help students get in touch with professionals
and promote in-field education. We set up frog/salamander crossings in the spring,
invasive species removal events, build habitat for local pollinators, maintain tree
plantings on campus, attend professional conferences, travel to preserves, and hike!
INFLUENCE: Our club includes the CHOOSE PLANET over plastic environmental awareness
campaign!
It is the goal of the Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society to provide opportunities
for improved communication among individuals locally and with other student chapters,
augment fish, wildlife, and natural resource educational opportunities, prepare members
for careers, to encourage professionalism and high standards, and to promote a broader
understanding of fish, wildlife, and natural resources to the campus and surrounding
communities. Participation is open to all students.
The purpose of this club is to protect, reconnect, restore and sustain Coldwater fisheries
in Schoharie County and its surrounding watersheds. We will ensure that robust populations
of native and wild Coldwater fish once again thrive within their North American range,
so that future generations can enjoy healthy fisheries in their home waters. Participation
is open to all students.
The purpose of this club is to provide social, cultural, and educational opportunities
for all members of the college community and to provide students with experience in
group planning and leadership as well as social and educational contacts. Specific
responsibilities of CEB include sponsoring major weekends and concerts, selection
of movies and speakers, special events, and presenting programs involving music, theater,
and dance. Participation is open to all students.

SGA is the official voice of the student body. As a group, SGA shares their thoughts
and concerns about the quality of the student experience with key members of the administration.
They also oversee the use of the Student Activity Fee, which amounts to over $440,000.
Members and officers of SGA sit on various campus committees, all in an effort to
represent the needs of the students on a variety of levels.

The mission of the Student Veteran Association is to increase access for veterans
into SUNY Cobleskill while providing them with the necessary guidance, mentoring and
array of student centered services, programs and community support that will assist
with their transition and ensure their academic and personal success within the college

The Archery Club educates others about the history of archery as a sport and to better
the skills of members through practice and competitions. All are welcome to join.
This Team & Club is a collective group of student anglers who are interested in fishing
and competing in Bass Tournaments at the collegiate level. They compete regionally
and are active in the community with clean-ups, fund raisers, club awareness and promoting
clean, outdoor activities. Participation is open to all students.
The Chess Club teaches members about the game of chess, including proper chess play and etiquette, and to promote a positive environment for game play. The Chess Club invites members from all skill levels and backgrounds to come together and partake in chess, either by spectating, or playing in a game.
Join the E-sports club in creating a community based on competitive and non-competitive gaming! Our club allows others to experience a new type of team building within the gaming community and within E-sports. Participation is open to all students.
This club shall support the Woodsmen Team at various Intercollegiate competitions and public demonstrations. It will strive to be at the service of the College and local community while practicing safe and efficient use of its own tools and educating others in such use. They will practice good resource management. Participation is open to all students.
Anime Club is a club that plans to discus different types of anime's. This includes discussing the history, drawing style, and the different type of anime's made around the world. Anime Club plans to watch anime during some meeting to then discus our opinions on the anime. Anime Club plans to also do anime cooking days. We plan to make food based on food made in the anime shows. We plan to engage with the community by trying to host Comic cons. This will welcome all student, community members, and vendor to join. Anime Club is a club that helps people be able to join a club that is not based on a major like most clubs.
The purpose of the Commuter Student Organization is to give the commuter students a voice and give them an opportunity to address common concerns. We provide engagement opportunities for commuter students to connect to one another. Participation is open to all students.
The goal of Q&A is to allow persons of any sexual orientation, gender identity, and/or
expression and allies of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ)
persons to obtain support from their peers and to promote acceptance and educate about
the diversity of the campus community. Participation is open to all students.
The Tabletop Gaming Club is a place for anyone who wants to play or learn games. Our club was originally founded to specialize in playing Dungeons and Dragons a popular tabletop game, but has branched out to any games. We play different games all the time and love to be taught more. We have scheduled days for anyone wanting to learn more about playing Dungeons and Dragons or for anyone wanting to test their ideas. Lastly we pride ourselves on being an open space for all and always do our best to make sure everyone has a good time.
CCF is an organization whose purpose is to facilitate Christian fellowship on the
SUNY Cobleskill College Campus.
Alpha Gamma Rho was founded in 1904. Alpha Gamma Rho is a fraternity sharing a common
bond within a dynamic, global agriculture committed to fostering the highest values
and providing each and every brother with superior lifelong personal development and
professional success. With Alpha Gamma Rho you get the best of both worlds. We're
a social and professional fraternity, and we've been "making better men" for more
than 100 years. We have historically been a strictly-agricultural fraternity, and
we are now extending membership to those pursuing careers in agriculture, food and
fiber, natural resources, life sciences, and related fields. We strive for professionalism,
academic excellence, and lifelong involvement in the colleges and universities we
call home. As an organization, we really enjoy lending a helping hand throughout the
community we call home. We have recently partnered with the Iroquois Indian Museum
in Howes Cave as an ongoing service
project. We can also be seen lending a helping hand in the Village of Cobleskill,
the Village of Richmondville, The Lord鈥檚 Table and Food Pantry, SUNY鈥檚 Got Your Back,
Saturday鈥檚 Bread in Oneonta, and at Empty Bowls Schoharie County.
The Fraternity of Delta Omega Epsilon was founded on April 15, 1985 by Brother Richard Pelestri and Brother Sal Leone. We were established to form a brotherhood, something that reaches beyond that of a friendship. Twenty-five brothers and sisters formed the unity which exists to this day. We as an organization have four goals that we strongly abide by. We encourage and assist the academic progress of fraternity brothers, provide free tutorial and counseling to fraternity brothers, create a brotherhood while attending college, and lastly, we provide students with an opportunity for a business like experience in a fraternal corporation. We also volunteer at community service projects multiple times a year. We鈥檝e worked with the Village of Cobleskill, the Village of Richmondville, Saturday鈥檚 Bread in Oneonta, The Lord鈥檚 Table and Food Pantry, FAM 5k Run, Empty Bowls Schoharie County, and SUNY鈥檚 Got Your Back.
Iota Kappa Sigma was founded on March 24, 2009 at the State University of New York
at Cobleskill by Shameeka Wilson. Iota Kappa Sigma is a multicultural sorority that
strives for women of all colors to bond together to make the world and community a
better place. They will forever uphold ourselves as beautiful, strong, intelligent
women with our letters in front of us and our sisters behind us. We shall forever
rise, like our beloved Phoenix. The benefits of becoming an Iota are networking skills,
leadership skills, overcoming life obstacles with a sisterhood, gaining support, and
help with developing career paths! We host annual fundraisers such as our 鈥淩oyal Banquet鈥
or our 鈥淧ie an Iota鈥, and many more. We also strive to help our community as much
as possible. Recently, we鈥檝e volunteered to help with the Village of Cobleskill, the
Village of Richmondville, SUNY鈥檚 Got Your Back, Saturday鈥檚 Bread in Oneonta, The Lord鈥檚
Table and Food Pantry, and Empty Bowls Schoharie County.
Omega Kappa Mu was founded on September 13, 2011 at the State University of New York at Cobleskill by Deshauna Young, Aubrey Oates, Talehia McCants, and Namib Harris. We are multicultural, supporting diversity and not discriminating against race, sexual preference, or background. Omega Kappa Mu is dedicated to raising a standard in young men, while striving for brotherhood, wisdom, loyalty, and respect for their community, and their fellow man. Our mission is to help and encourage young men in our communities, to finish what they have started, and to never quit. The goals we stand by as an organization are education, brotherhood, perseverance, dignity, and prosperity. Community service is also extremely important to our organization. We have had the pleasure to work with the Village of Cobleskill, the Village of Richmondville, SUNY鈥檚 Got Your Back, Saturday鈥檚 Bread in Oneonta, Empty Bowls Schoharie County, The Lord鈥檚 Table and Food Pantry, and Refugee and Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus.
Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority that promotes scholarship, leadership,
service and fellowship among its members. The sorority was founded in 1978 at the
Ohio State University by five women who wanted an alternative to the social Greek
sorority system. Since that time, Sigma Alpha has become a national organization consisting
of more than 80 chapters, comprised of undergraduate and alumnae members. The benefits
of joining Sigma Alpha include community participation, leadership conferences, scholarships,
a large network of sisters, opportunity to serve on the Board of National Sororities
and the Educational Foundation Board, and a fun and rewarding experience! We also
volunteer very often with community service projects. We鈥檝e helped out the Village
of Cobleskill, the Village of Richmondville, SUNY鈥檚 Got Your Back, Saturday鈥檚 Bread
in Oneonta, The Lord鈥檚 Table and Food Pantry, and Empty Bowls Schoharie County.
Founded on October 3, 1994 at the City University of New York at the College of Staten Island, Sigma Omega Epsilon is a diverse sorority that provides experience in self-government and encourages its members to develop leadership skills and relations with other individuals. Sigma Omega Epsilon is simply defined as a society of diverse women (ethnicities, sexualities, careers, backgrounds, etc.) who work together to better the community and are bonded by sisterhood. Our goals are to achieve academic excellence, encourage progression, become role models to better the community, perform at least two community service projects each month, apply a sense of unity and sisterhood, and promote philanthropy throughout the school and our community. We support two philanthropic causes which are the AIDS Research Alliance and the American Autism Association. Some of our community service projects include working with the Village of Cobleskill, the Village of Richmondville, SUNY鈥檚 Got Your Back, The Lord鈥檚 Table and Food Pantry, FAM 5k Run, Saturday鈥檚 Bread in Oneonta, and Empty Bowls Schoharie County.
